On video: Arrested after humiliating a disabled person in Jerusalem's Old City and uploading to Tiktok/Israel Police spokeswoman, documentation on social networks according to Section 27a of the Copyright Law
Koren Or Eliyahu, a student on the autistic continuum with medium low functioning, who attends a special education school in Petah Tikva, was forced by another student to swallow Ritalin pills that were not hers - while they were both on the bus home from school.
Why was there no one to stop it?
According to the municipality, it does not deserve an escort, but the Ministry of Education approved an escort and put the responsibility on the municipality.
Meanwhile, Koren's mother Daganit is furious: "Do people wake up here only after disasters?"
"My girl was on her way home from school in the city, I received a panicked phone call because she swallowed pills on the bus," Daganit Regev angrily explained to Walla!.
According to her, the mother of the second student who got off the bus, called her in a panic after she saw that 8 of the 30 pills that were in the box were missing and realized that her daughter had given Koren to swallow pills.
"I didn't answer her at first, only after she wrote me to answer urgently," Daganit continued to unfold the sequence of events, "did she tell me that my daughter swallowed 8 pills according to the girl. I started screaming, I drove home to see the girl, I asked her how many pills she swallowed? At first she didn't know, then she told me 2, but 8 pills were missing. We called the union and told them what happened, I called the union and the paramedic came and checked her and the indicators were normal, but she didn't sleep for 24 hours, she was 'bye' because of the pills."

The next day she filed a complaint with the police about negligence - everyone is responsible for that.
From the school, the teacher, the principal, the municipality and the Ministry of Education.
"The pills shouldn't be in the bag at all, it should be locked with the teacher," claimed the mother.
"All the children take different pills at the special education school, but in my life it has never gotten to the point where the children walk around with them. What should happen is that the pills are under the school's responsibility and locked with the teacher. I still don't understand how the pills got to the girl and from there to my girl, why did the educator put the pills inside the bag, what was she thinking? She knows there was no attendant and there was no one to warn her. I have another question, how did the other girl, who also has special needs, manage to open the pills? It's still a mystery."
After what happened, Koren did not go to school for two days and only at the beginning of the week, suddenly, according to the mother, out of nowhere, a chaperone was attached to her.
"Only after disasters do they arise here? We were very lucky. It could have ended completely differently."
According to her, she found out about it through the manager of the club and no official informed her about it.
"I don't know the chaperone, they send me a name and a number, that's a default in itself. There is no permanent chaperone like with my second son who has been with him for 3 years and I hope that my daughter will continue to have a chaperone and not when the spirits calm down, they will take him away from her again."
