STRASBOURG - The European Chamber gives the green light to the
Ai Act
, i.e. the establishment of European standards on Artificial Intelligence.
The approval of the text in plenary came by a large majority:
523 votes in favour
, 46 against and 49 abstentions. The
EU is the first in the world
to adopt rules on artificial intelligence.
"I believe that today, in addition to giving answers on the issue of resources,
the Italian government should work for the implementation of the regulation
"on AI" because in my opinion during the negotiation unfortunately it was very absent and sometimes even confused, we saw arguments among the ministers who did not benefit our government's negotiating work here."
The head of the PD delegation in the European Parliament,
Brando Benifei
, co-rapporteur of the AI Act, said this at a press conference in Strasbourg, where the plenary approved the historic law on artificial intelligence.
