The story begins in 2016 with a series of devastating floods that hit the town that year.
The employee, responsible for welcoming the public at the town hall of Vennecy (Loiret), found herself confronted with a particularly virulent administrator, whose house had been damaged.
Unable to immediately remedy her situation, the employee had to face threats and disconcerting aggression.
According to Maître Cochereau, lawyer for the former municipal employee who wished to remain anonymous, the threats made were such that they plunged her client into a deep state of anxiety.

Despite this, the municipality did not provide immediate support to its employee.
“At first, there was no recognition of her situation” tells us Maître Marie Cochereau before continuing “The town hall refused to recognize the anxiety-depressive syndrome developed by the employee, even seeking to place her automatically retired due to disability.
The victim, traumatized by this altercation with an administrator, will have to wait two years of administrative battle for the attributability of this altercation to his state of health to finally be recognized.
The request for compensation, finally brought before the administrative court of Orléans, aimed to obtain compensation for the damage suffered by the employee, both morally and financially.
After a long legal process, the court finally ordered the municipality to compensate the victim for her various damages, including expert assessment costs and lawyers' fees.
In total, the woman, now 66 years old, received 25,000 euros in damages.
“It’s a relief, recognition of her situation and the difficulties she had,” confides Maître Cochereau.
Since this affair, the former employee of Vennecy town hall has not resumed professional activity.
Now retired, she is trying to turn this page which had a profound impact on her.
