Investigators are apparently urgently looking for a man.
He is said to be a friend of Christian B.
Munich – Armed special forces are said to have surrounded a property near Braunschweig.
The action lasted an hour, British media reported.
The house belongs to a man named Ralph H. He is said to have important information about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann - and also has close connections with the main suspect Christian B.

The man being sought is apparently considered an important eyewitness.
He is also said to have been a neighbor.

The public prosecutor's office does not want to provide any further details in connection with the investigation into the Maddie case.

A witness recently came forward, a former friend and companion, who is said to be responsible for the fact that Christian B. is behind bars.
Criminal trial against Maddie's main suspect started in Braunschweig
The convicted sex offender Christian B. is currently having to answer before the Braunschweig regional court.
The 47-year-old is said to have raped women and abused girls.
He is accused of five sexual offenses.
The defendant is said to have committed the crimes in Portugal between the end of December 2000 and June 2017.
The mother of Maddie's main suspect, Christian B., is said to have banned her son from her life.
“According to the files, the defendant must expect a prison sentence of up to 15 years,” said senior public prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters to the

news agency before the criminal trial .
Subsequent preventive detention may also be considered.
Of course, it depends on how the evidence is taken as to whether all allegations can be confirmed and proven.
In the Maddie McCann case, Christian B. has been suspected of murder since 2020, but no charges have been brought against him yet.
There has been no trace of the missing Madeleine McCann for almost 17 years.
The then three-year-old disappeared from a holiday apartment on Praia da Luz in Portugal in May 2007.
In May 2023, a search operation in Portugal again drew attention to the missing person case of Maddie McCann.
Investigators searched for evidence at a reservoir for three days.
Forensic scientists came up with various theories.
There was talk of a breakthrough.
Apparently photos triggered the operation.
Maddie's body has not been found.
However, the Braunschweig public prosecutor's office and the Federal Criminal Police Office are continuing to investigate him on suspicion of murder.
