Microsoft continues its work on integrating its AI, Copilot, into various usage scenarios.
The tech giant just announced the availability of Copilot for Security starting April 1st.
It is a solution designed for businesses and professionals in the field of cybersecurity, capable of detecting threats and preventing digital attacks.
The AI is based on information from Microsoft's various detection systems, including "78 trillion security alerts processed every day," explains a company note.
According to a recent study on Copilot for Security, security professionals have seen numerous benefits in terms of time savings and analysis accuracy.
Thanks to the application, a 22% increase in the speed of the experts' work, +7% accuracy in tasks and a 97% satisfaction in the use of AI was noted.
Like the chatbots already present on the market, including Copilot itself for consumers, the "for security" declination allows people to ask textual questions on security issues, monitoring the protection status of a network and obtaining suggestions on how to improve the defenses.
The introduction of an ever-increasing number of generative artificial intelligence services on the market for all business functions, in addition to providing new opportunities, has also introduced challenges and risks.
Taking this into account, Microsoft has also introduced menus in Copilot for Security to understand how to safeguard company data and prevent it from being disclosed outside.
In particular, integrated into Microsoft Entra, Copilot helps prevent the compromise of digital identities.
