For the third season of the Korean Netflix show “The Gentlemen's League”, the celebrity soccer team “Eojjeoda Avengers” is coming to FSV Frankfurt.
Frankfurt – Netflix is coming to Frankfurt, the regional football league team FSV announced on Wednesday (March 6th).
This refers to the South Korean realitiv TV series “The Gentlemen's League”, which is produced by the national television station JTBC.
Two seasons have already been shown on Netflix, but it is only available to stream in South Korea.
“A large part of the third season will be filmed in the PSD Bank Arena, the home of FSV Frankfurt,” the club from Bornheim explained now.
But what exactly is this about?
The principle of the show is as simple as it is entertaining.
A number of celebrities and former competitive athletes - not footballers - from South Korea form a soccer team that competes against several amateur teams.
“The Gentlemen's League”: Netflix show comes to FSV Frankfurt for football match
The so-called “Eojjeoda Avengers” are trained by none other than the “David Beckham of South Korea”.
Ahn Jung-hwan is now 48 years old and was one of the country's great heroes at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and Korea.
The team made it to the semi-finals – where they lost to Germany 1-0.
Ahn later moved to MSV Duisburg for one season.
Now he is returning to Germany as the face of “The Gentlemen's League”.
The FSV continues to write about the upcoming match in the PSD Bank Arena on Bornheimer Hang: “Come by for this unique experience.
The game and filming will take place on March 17, 2024 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m..”
If you want to be there, you can secure free tickets via the online shop, but you should hurry, as the people of Bornheim note: “The early bird catches the worm.” (csa)
