Her sister Princess Kate stayed away from the private funeral service of Pippa Middleton's ex-boyfriend Thomas Kingston.
Prince William alone represented the first line of royals.
Windsor - About 140 friends and family mourned with the widow Lady Gabriella (42) and her parents, Prince Michael of Kent (81) and Princess Alexandra (79).
They came to Thomas Kingston's (45, † 2024) funeral service on Tuesday in The Queen's Chapel in St. James's Palace in London.
But while Prince William (41) showed his face, Kate Middleton (42) stayed away from the private funeral service.
Tom Kingston died at his parents' home in the Cotswolds on February 25, aged 45
Pippa Middleton's ex-boyfriend (40) died completely unexpectedly at his parents' house in the Cotswolds.
Although Princess Kate has been spotted driving twice, her "invisibility" continues to be a mystery, especially after recent incidents in which Kate's Mother's Day greeting caused an outcry.
For her younger sister, as the deceased's former partner, it would certainly have been a comforting act of sympathy if Kate had come to the funeral service.

The private setting - so far no photo of the funeral service has been made public - could have made it easier for Kate to attend.
But after the publication of the manipulated photo in which Kate posed radiantly and happily among her children, speculation about her efforts to avoid being seen almost escalated.
Prince William comes to Thomas Kingston's farewell service as heir to the throne
King Charles (75) also had to miss the memorial service because of his cancer and Queen Camilla (76) was also missing from the mourners.
Only Prince William attended in honor of his late relative's final walk.
In addition to the immediate family members, the death may have particularly affected him, as he had to dutifully attend the memorial service for King Constantine of Greece (82, † 2023) at Windsor Castle despite the bad news.

On the day Kate's Mother's Day picture was published, it was revealed that the picture was not real but had been partially retouched.
Kate immediately apologized for the edit.
But trust in the Royals seemed to have been damaged recently.
Kensington Palace had announced the regeneration phase for the princess by Easter.
