Four teachers from the Blaise-Cendrars high school in Sevran (Seine-Saint-Denis) who had participated in a video denouncing the dilapidation of their high school that went viral on the social network TikTok were summoned on Friday by their superiors, AFP learned on Thursday from the educational staff of the establishment and unions.

In a minute and a half, in a tone that is both fatalistic and detached, students and teachers from the Blaise-Cendrars high school in Sevran paint a gloomy picture of their establishment, pinpointing its defective equipment, its lack of maintenance and the conditions degraded teaching facilities.
Posted a week ago, the video has been viewed more than 2.6 million times on TikTok.
For around twenty days, teachers, students and parents have been carrying out operations to demand more resources for schools in the poorest department in mainland France.
“A logic of intimidation”
“Four of our colleagues were summoned to the principal’s office on Friday morning in the presence of members of the rectorate for 20-minute individual interviews. But these are the four teachers who participated in the video
,” regretted Blandine Paulet, departmental co-secretary of SNES-FSU, to AFP.
“An approach which seems to us to correspond greatly to a logic of intimidation”
, estimated the educational staff of Blaise-Cendrars in a press release.
Requested by AFP, the Créteil academy confirms the summons of teachers which
“is part of a regulatory framework”

“No disciplinary proceedings have been initiated at this time.
There is no question here of the exercise of union rights, and even less of a desire to undermine it
,” assures its management.
A support rally is planned for Friday at 8:30 a.m. in front of the establishment.
The vice-president of the Île-de-France region in charge of high schools, James Chéron, had denied any negligence concerning Blaise-Cendrars.
