Berlin – The Union wants to know again in the dispute over the delivery of cruise missiles to Ukraine.
However, it has become increasingly unlikely that their application to supply the Taurus will receive a majority.
Taurus dispute: “Traffic lights have to show their colors”
CSU regional group leader Alexander Dobrindt has called on members of the traffic light coalition to vote with the Union.
“The traffic light MPs must finally show their colors,” said the deputy Union parliamentary group leader in the

this Thursday (March 14th).

The bill calls for the extensive weapons system to be made available to Ukraine “immediately.”
The Union has requested a roll-call vote and is apparently hoping for at least individual dissenters from the government coalition.
Similar proposals from the CDU/CSU failed in January and February.
Debate about Taurus deliveries: Scholz remains no
Ukraine requested the missiles with a range of more than 500 kilometers from Germany last May.
Experts point out that the cruise missile is superior to similar weapons from France and Great Britain - which are already being delivered - in terms of range and accuracy.
Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) repeatedly rejected a delivery and expressed the fear that Germany could be drawn into the war through the use of the missiles.
Within the federal government, representatives of the Greens and FDP are pushing for a delivery.
