Tension, incidents and delays were the result of a demonstration by Culture workers
in front of the Gaumont cinema
, in protest against the adjustments in the INCAA and other entities in the sector.
Three people were arrested
after the riots, awaiting a ruling from Justice, and two police officers were injured.
The call was launched this Thursday afternoon at 1600 Rivadavia Avenue, in front of the Gaumont, while a few meters away the Senate was discussing Javier Milei's DNU.
Movie fans, actors like Leonardo Sbaraglia and leftist militants like Eduardo Belliboni and Gabriel Solano, from the Polo Obrero and the Partido Obrero/Frente de Izquierda, respectively, came to the place.
After 6:00 p.m. there were moments of tension.
It was when the City Police deployed the operation to prevent the blockage of the street.
Then there was
pushing, insults and the Buenos Aires force fired tear gas.
In subsequent riots, the City Police detained and detained three people.
In addition,
two officers from that force were injured
in the cheekbones.
On the other hand, protesters reported that a motorist hit a person.

Although the discontent had been going on for months, the call finally took shape with the resolution that, published on Monday in the Official Gazette, included the cancellation of all INCAA contracts that expired on March 31, the suspension of payment of hours extras and the removal of economic support from the provinces, among others.
Furthermore, last week the INCAA union delegates had been informed that the Cine.ar platform would be closed and that the Gaumont cinema would be put up for sale.
Due to this series of decisions, various organizations linked to cinema called through social networks for a march for this Thursday at 5 p.m.

"Defunding culture is an ideological decision, not an economic one. We mobilize in defense of cinema, INCAA, ENERC and audiovisual sovereignty," read the statement from DOCA, an entity that brings together documentary filmmakers from Argentina.
The ATE union entity had also joined the call and intended to give a conference at the site, but they were interrupted by the police operation.
