The indictment against Liad Adri who was accused of murdering Yoel Lahnghal is softened: after mediation made at the request of the court, Adri will be charged with the crimes of aggravated malicious wounding, obstruction and impeachment.
Yoel Lahnghel was murdered in October 2022. In the indictment filed a month and a half later against Liad Adri, a 22-year-old man from Kiryat Shmona, it emerged that the fight in which the murder occurred broke out after children who arrived at the scene harassed Lahnghel and his girlfriend.

As a result, Lahnghal suffered injuries to his face and a broken tooth.
The police were called to the scene and dispersed those present, but later Lahneghel and his friends returned there, as well as other young people.
A confrontation developed on the spot, during which Adri, who according to the original indictment arrived at the scene with a knife hidden in his shirt sleeve, waved his left hand and shouted at Lahnghel and his friends: "Nobody beats a little boy."
After that, he stabbed Lahnghal in the stomach, and left the place.

A short time later, he returned to the ring and kicked Belhanghal, who collapsed on the floor, and fled the scene.
According to the original indictment, Adri and Naghal did not know each other before the incident.
It was also claimed that Adri hid the knife with the help of others, removed the pants and hoodie he was wearing and ordered another person to give a false version.
In view of the evidentiary difficulties that arose during the trial, including the fact that the knife with which Lahanghal was stabbed was not found, Judge Sabev Davor asked the parties to conduct a mediation process and in the end they reached a plea agreement.
Adri admitted to the crimes attributed to him in the new indictment and in a few months the sentence will be heard in his case.
