4 commercials will be broadcast on generalist TV in the next few weeks to explain to citizens the end of the protected electricity market on 30 June and the functioning of the gradual protection market that will replace it.

The commercials are commissioned by Acquirente Unico, the public company that supplies energy for the protected market, and are the start of an information campaign that will continue in print and on social media.

The CEO of Acquirente Unico, Giuseppe Moles, explained this in an interview with Sole24Ore.


    "Precisely in these hours we have selected the company that will take care of the creation of the first four commercials of 30 seconds each, which I believe will be aired within three weeks - Moles told the newspaper -. This is, however, only the first step of the information campaign that we will carry out on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, according to the line dictated by the latest energy decree, and which will serve to accompany all domestic customers, including the vulnerable, towards the progressive overcoming of greater protection and the start, from 1st July, of the gradual protection service".


    "The decree entrusts us with the campaign, with an endowment of one million euros, for 12 months which I consider more than useful", Moles said again.

The campaign, he explained, will start on "generalist television. We will then follow up with an ad hoc campaign in print and on social media, but I do not rule out other initiatives, such as conferences, also making use of the support of consumer associations".


    Moles also provided data on the conciliation service and the consumer desk that Acquirente Unico manages on behalf of Arera: "In 2023, compared to 2022, conciliations grew by 34%, and smart services by 18%.


   Calls to the contact center there were 1,546,809, with an increase of 23% compared to the previous year."
