More friendliness, please: The idea for the sign in front of the Vinzenzmurr branch on Tölzer Marktstrasse is not new, but it is certainly successful.

A new sign in front of the Vinzenzmurr branch in Bad Tölz is attracting attention.

The managing director Angela Hammel explains in an interview what this is all about.

Bad Tölz – The sign in front of the Vinzenzmurr branch on Marktstrasse is a real eye-catcher.

It's recently been leaning next to the store's front door.

Curious customers and passers-by often stop in front of it and take pictures.

In an interview with the Tölzer Kurier, business manager Angela Hammel explains what the sign is all about.

Ms. Hammel, are the people in Bad Tölz really so grumpy that this sign is necessary?

Unfortunately, a lot of them, yes.

Why did you put it up?

These days you can hardly find good staff anymore.

Nobody wants to do our job anymore.

We have our hands full, especially at lunchtime peak times.

We all really enjoy our jobs.

But when we have so much work and the customers are unfriendly, it's no longer fun.

Positive reactions to the unusual sign in front of the Vinzenzmurr branch

What are the reactions?

Since we put up the sign, people have been saying hello a lot more.

It works very well for many people.

I'm really very happy with the development.

I'm particularly pleased that it covers all age groups - from young to old.

Do you also encounter rejection with the sign?

Some people read it and then are deliberately particularly evil.

Then I say that the Leberkas costs five euros.

But there are also some who don't understand the sign.

They think that we have three different types of Leberkas on offer.

“That’s a problem these days”

How do you respond to these customers?

I always send them to the door and tell them to read the sign again carefully.

Then of course they understand.

Most people laugh and react very friendly.

But that's a problem these days that people no longer take the time to read a sign calmly.

Are you actually asking for five euros for the Leberkas?

No, I shouldn't do that either.

How long will the sign remain up?

Until everyone understands it (laughs).
