The Tölz Easter market is just around the corner.
In addition to food and drink, there are also all sorts of handicrafts available at 35 stands this year.
Bad Tölz – Marktstrasse will once again live up to its name from next week – the Tölz Easter market will be held from March 22nd to April 4th.
It is closed on Good Friday.
The huts will be set up from March 18th.
Easter market in Bad Tölz relies on proven suppliers
In addition to food and drink, there are 35 stalls offering all sorts of handicrafts.
“On the whole, they are the tried and tested providers,” says deputy spa director Susanne Frey-Allgaier.
Because: “Never change a running system”, so never change a system that is running well.
Even if critical voices are raised every now and then, saying that the same thing is always on offer: “The demand for the usual stands is there.”
Like every year, there are a few new providers this time too.
Nardella Adelheid is there this time, offering sheep's milk soaps and other body care products at her stand.
The “Ware Freude” stand, where felt products can be purchased, is also new.
“We have two changing huts again,” says Frey-Allgaier.
In one there are beeswax products and Easter decorations, in the other there are baskets and bags, magnetic brooches and herbs.

Tölz can rely on its proven dealers.
But: There is increasingly less influx.
“The number of dealers is getting smaller,” says Frey-Allgaier.
Many people quit because of their age.
On the other hand, there are more and more markets.
In Bad Tölz you also consciously make a high-quality selection.
“We don’t want bulk goods from the Far East,” emphasizes the deputy spa director.
Another point that speaks for the proven dealers.
Gudrun Döbereiner's wooden toys, for example, are a long-time favorite and always in demand.
“It’s nice and colorful, it’s something for children and families.”

In addition to the stands, there is a varied program.
Back on the market are the large eggs painted by celebrities and institutions.
“This year we have a new addition, there are four more eggs.” One of them is very special: “The mayor’s egg,” says Frey-Allgaier with a laugh.
The three mayors of Tölz are already working on it.

The Easter nest hunt in the Taubenloch, which takes place again on Easter Monday this year, is very popular.
“This is always very well received.” On the shopping Sunday, March 24th, Tölzer Stadtmarketing is organizing a competition in which 17 shops take part.
This year there will be the “Tölz Passion Walks” again, with history, music and stories.
There is also a large program for children in the city museum.
There is music on the stage at Marienbrunnen.

Unlike the Christmas market, the Easter market is very dependent on the weather, says Frey-Allgaier.
Accordingly, there are also rather short-term bookings for overnight stays during this time.
But don't let it drive you crazy.
“We make the best of it.
The Easter market is still a magnet.” Because there aren’t that many Easter markets.
There is always a lot going on in Marktstrasse, especially on Sundays when shops are open.
“We particularly notice the demand.”
