But now at least Meghan is back on Instagram.
Montecito - With their royal withdrawal and the rift with the British royal family also came the end of the Sussexes' social media era.
Prince Harry (39) and Duchess Meghan (42) closed their shared Instagram account.
Since moving to the USA, the couple has not given much private insight.
It's all the more surprising now that Meghan is not only back online, but also sharing personal photo material.
Surprising Instagram comeback: Duchess Meghan reports to the company account
There has been absolute silence on the Sussex Royal account since 2020.
In the spring, Prince Harry and his wife shared one last post - since then they have no longer been reachable via social media.
But now it seems as if the former “Suits” actress is ready to appear online again and even give her fans private insights.
Meghan Markle is celebrating her Instagram comeback on the American Riviera Orchard account.
On Thursday evening (March 14, 2024), a few photos appeared on the profile, which, viewed as an overall picture, form the American Riviera Orchard Montecito logo.
The account, which already has over 100,000 followers (as of March 14, 9 p.m.), is tagged as that of "Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex."
Further information about the brand and Meghan's project cannot be found there - but it's worth taking a look at the story.
Because there, the mother of two shares videos directly from her private property in California.

In one clip you can see a compilation of scenes that were obviously taken in her villa in Montecito.
Meghan is shown baking in the kitchen, carefully putting flowers in a vase and playing with her dog.
What particularly catches the eye in the videos is the elegant, black ball gown that the actress is wearing.
However, her children or husband Harry cannot be seen in the photos.
The 42-year-old does not explain what is behind the video - there is no further information about her project or the brand either.
The video ends with the American Riviera Orchard logo and the linked website does not provide any further information.
It remains to be seen how and when Meghan will contact her followers again.
Will the social media comeback also mean a return to old tasks?
There has often been speculation about a royal comeback by Prince Harry and Meghan.
