The reason for this is the last competitions of the 2023/2024 winter sports season in biathlon, cross-country skiing and alpine skiing.

We clarify which shipments have to be made one-time instead.

ZDF changes program on Friday: winter sports instead of “Hello Germany” and “SOKO Vienna”

It starts on Friday, March 15th at 5:15 p.m. with a summary of the World Cup final in cross-country skiing in Falun, Sweden, as the public broadcaster announced.

The tabloid magazine “Hello Germany” usually occupies the broadcast slot directly after the “heute” news.

From around 5:25 p.m. there will be live reporting from the Biathlon World Cup in Canmore (Canada), where the men's 10-kilometer sprint will take place on Friday.

The broadcast is scheduled until 7 p.m.

An episode of the crime series “SOKO Vienna” usually runs on Fridays from 6 p.m.

On Saturday, March 16th, sports fans will also get their money's worth on ZDF.

From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Mainz station will not only show various winter sports events, but also the Olympic qualifying game between the German national handball team and Croatia from 2:20 p.m.

Formats such as “Bares for Rares – Favorite Pieces”, “The Rosenheim Cops”, “heute Xpress”, “Ländespiegel”, “plan b” and “SOKO Munich” are canceled, but they will be back on the program the following Saturday.
