Actor Milan Marcus, known from the ARD telenovela “Sturm der Liebe”, has an eventful past.

He sees himself as a “child of a scandalous relationship”.

Munich – Milan Marcus (37) has been appearing in the ARD telenovela “Sturm der Liebe” since January 25th.

In his role as chauffeur Tom Dammann, the actor confuses the royal court and in particular the life of Alexandra Schwarzbach (played by Daniela Kiefer).

But things are as turbulent in the 37-year-old's real life as in the TV series, which runs from Monday to Friday at 3:10 p.m. on Erste.

“My father was my mother’s German teacher in high school – a real soap story.”

The Duisburg native explains that his relationship with his mother Sabine Marcus (55), who was just of age when he was born, is complicated.

He “met his father briefly” when he was 18 years old.

“I've grown very unusually and, objectively speaking, not optimally,” admits Milan Marcus.

As a child, he first lived in a foster family, then later with his grandparents, “where I was most of the time, then with my uncle and then I was in America as an exchange student for a year.”

Milan Marcus starred in the ARD cult series for several years

In 2004, he was involved in the ARD evening series “Verbotene Liebe”, which enabled Milan Marcus, at the age of 17, “to move into my first apartment of my own while I was still finishing high school”.

The actor starred in the cult soap until 2008 and later returned again and again for guest appearances.

“Forbidden Love” was canceled in 2015 after 4,664 episodes.

As chauffeur Tom Dammann, Milan Marcus has been showing viewers his acting talent since episode 4186 and is bringing a breath of fresh air to the royal court.

Another former “Sturm der Liebe” star recently appeared in the ZDF hit series “Der Bergdoktor”.
