Next theft from a cemetery in the Munich district: This time a bronze figure was stolen in Neukeferloh.
The community is making an urgent appeal to bereaved families.
Grasbrunn - Grave robbers have now apparently also struck in Neukeferloh: As the community of Grasbrunn reports, a bronze figure that had decorated a grave for over 30 years was stolen from the local cemetery.
The incident is part of a series of thefts in cemeteries. Unknown people recently stole bowls and other grave decorations made of brass, bronze or copper from churchyards in Oberschleißheim and Unterschleißheim (we reported).
The police then arrested two suspects in Ingolstadt.
“Deeply affected”
So now another raid in Neukeferloh, in which the bronze figure was stolen.
“The material value when purchased was around 4,000 German marks,” informs the community in a press release.
“But the emotional value is priceless for the relatives.
Survivors and representatives of the community are deeply affected by this incident.” The town hall is therefore calling on citizens to check the graves of their deceased loved ones for possible theft.
Anyone who notices one should urgently report it to the police and inform the town hall on or Tel. 089/461002125.
