The popular Ebersberger Kulturfeuer will take place again in 2024.

Advance sales start on Monday, March 18th.

A colorful program awaits visitors.

Ebersberg

– Advance sales for the Kulturfeuer, which has been taking place in Ebersberg every two years since 2014, begin on Monday, March 18th.

“At the first cultural fire after the Corona years, we are returning to the old concept,” announces Markus Bachmeier from the old cinema.

This means that the main events will take place in the hall, as they once did, in the old warehouse and not open air, as was the case during the pandemic.

In the Klosterbauhof, the legendary fire bowl will once again create an atmosphere with beer garden flair, live acts, a light show and space for meetings.

The main program consists of cabaret, music events and a new show by the Grafinger artist group “Movimento”.

This opens the Kulturfeuer, which runs from June 10th to 21st this year, with four performances.

Under the title “Central Station”, dance, acrobatics, juggling and unicycling as well as spectacular performances on trapeze, aerial net, vertical cloth and Cyr-Ring are about the unique combination of two extraordinary worlds - that of the people at a busy train station and that of the Artists.

“The common thread is two siblings who are stranded at a train station and meet all sorts of characters there,” says Movimento boss Stefan Eberherr.

There are also several concerts on the schedule: the Bavarian band “Dreiviertelblut” around Gerd Baumann and Sebastian Horn will present strange, crude stories about life, death and everything in between on Monday, July 15th.

The “Monika Roscher Big Band” moves between math-jazz, avant-pop and electronica around the award-winning composer and guitarist Monika Roscher, who will venture into musical border areas with wild new interpretations on Wednesday, July 17th.

“Quadro Nuevo” juggles between classical, jazz and world music.

The ensemble around childhood friends Mulo Francel and Didi Lowka will celebrate the joy of an adventurous life on Saturday, July 20th.

The “All Area Kulturfeuer Summer Festival” on Friday, July 19th, attracts with South American power brass from the Argentinian “band “Desmadre Orkesta”, DJ and free entry to the monastery building yard and the old warehouse.

This year's cultural fire is rounded off by two cabaret evenings and a children's performance.

On Tuesday, July 16th, the Ingolstadt comedian Günter Grünwald will present stupid sayings with depth in his new program “I can’t be serious”.

Physicist Vince Ebert is coming to the old warehouse with “Vince of Change” on Thursday, July 18th.

The finale on Sunday, July 21st is the Bavarian, mischievous, endearingly crazy shooting star family musical “The cow that wants to go to the cinema”.

In addition to the events in the old store, weather permitting, there will be a small music program on an open-air stage in the monastery building yard in the evening.

The beer garden opens daily at 6 p.m.

The only exception: on Saturday, July 13th, the Kulturfeuer takes a break and sends the guests to Marienplatz for the marching band's wine festival.

As in previous years, the cultural fire is “extremely” - as Markus Bachmeier puts it - supported by the Kreissparkasse München Starnberg Ebersberg.

The city contributes manpower, meaning the construction yard employees are available.

The summer festival costs around 150,000 euros.

A large part of the expenses will be financed through entrance fees.

But none of this would be possible without the support of the Sparkasse.

Ebersberg's First Mayor Ulrich Proske also emphasized this when presenting the program and added: "Municipalities are spending less and less money on art and culture." This will only increase - keyword voluntary services - and possibly lead to a conflagration.

“Because culture is important, that’s why we support it,” explains Michael Baier from Sparkasse.

“Unlike the municipalities, we don’t make cuts,” as they say.

Without the Kulturfeuer, everyone agrees, Ebersberg would be poorer.

Tickets for this year's Kulturfeuer will be available from next Monday at the ticket office in the foyer of the Altes Speicher, by phone on (08092) 2559205, or on the Internet: www.kultur-in-ebersberg.de.
