On video: the US drops humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip/Reuters
The residents of Bat Yam Municipality were surprised to discover this morning food products that were destined to be humanitarian aid to Gaza City.
The packages apparently landed from the air in the Mediterranean Sea and drifted to the shores of Bat Yam.
Professional cleaning crews have now cleaned the beaches and the sea water of the food packages scattered in the sea.
The food products found on the beach are sold in Jordan and the United Arab Emirates, which send humanitarian shipments to Gaza, but they can be found in many Arab countries. About two days ago, a similar shipment fell with its parachute off the coast of Tel Aviv.
Coast patrol volunteers of the Nature and Parks Authority went on an operation to rescue the package from the sea.

The United States began dropping shipments of humanitarian aid using parachutes about two weeks ago, a few days later, several Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip due to a malfunction in the distribution of the shipments.
According to the report, some of the aid packages' parachutes did not open, which caused the heavy packages to fall from a great height and hit the civilians on the ground.
