A 36-year-old man, accused of raping his ex-girlfriend twice in 2014 in Marcoussis, was acquitted this Friday by the Essonne departmental criminal court.
While the attorney general had just requested a sentence of 7 years in prison, in this trial where the question of consent within the couple largely fueled the debates, the defense lawyers had pleaded for the acquittal of their client, arguing that there was insufficient evidence in the file to characterize the rapes.
The facts denounced date back to the summer of 2014. After two months of a romance without a hitch, the sick jealousy of the accused gradually came to disrupt their relationship.
When the young woman wanted to distance herself, the man returned the charge by threatening to disclose naked photos of her to her parents, while telling them that she was drinking, taking drugs and having sex.

It was in this conflicting climate that the young woman confided in her mother on July 9, 2014. She then explained to her that she had been attacked the day before by her boyfriend.
When she filed a complaint, she repeated her story to the police.
Two days earlier, after a “tense” football evening spent with the accused and his friends, she decided to return home.
On the way, the man joined him in the car.
Inside the vehicle, a heated discussion broke out.
When he wants to caress her and tries to kiss her, the young woman bursts into tears.
According to the victim's account, the accused still slipped a finger into her genitals, before stopping and leaving her.
“No, don’t”
Arrested by the police, the young man does not understand that he is suspected of having committed rape.
To prove his good faith, he then gives the investigators a video, filmed the same evening without the victim's knowledge.
Thinking of exonerating himself, the young man actually worsens his case since upon seeing the images, a second charge for rape is issued.
On the film, the young woman seems amorphous.
After a consensual sexual relationship, the man grabs sex toys and expresses his desire to use them.
The victim expresses his refusal by telling him “no, don’t do it”, “please stop”, several times.
In vain... He will use them for almost two minutes.
On the first day of his trial, the accused assured that he had “changed a lot”.
“I worked on my consumption, my relationships, my character,” he explained in the absence of the victim who no longer wished to hear about this story.
I was too impulsive, impatient.
I worked a lot on jealousy with a psychologist.
I'm a lot less jealous than before.
