The association “mobb ned!
eV” in Erding has been fighting against bullying and for appreciative cooperation for five years.
Erding
– denigration, open hostility or derogatory talk behind the back.
Bullying is not a modern invention, but an old way of behavior towards other people, explains Gertraud Mesner from the association “mobb ned!
eV": "When the Roman general and statesman more than 2000 years ago spoke the sentence at the end of every speech: Furthermore, I am of the opinion that Carthage must be destroyed;
when, in the Middle Ages, disgruntled people claimed that their neighbor had flown her broom over the roof of the house during a full moon;
If young people today accuse a classmate of promiscuity on social networks, then that is bullying.”
Five years ago, it was the intention of a handful of people from the district who set themselves the goal of counteracting this behavior and founded the association “mobb ned!
eV” founded.
The beginning was not easy, explains the chairwoman from the municipality of Inning.
Just coming up with a name took the group a long time.
The result was a play on words using the word bullying and the district abbreviation ED: “mobb ned!”
eV”.
“Prevention, especially for the youngest members of our society, i.e. in kindergarten and primary school, was ultimately the main topic that the nine founding members agreed on,” says the mother of an adult son.
The activists created a stage play to make the topic tangible to children.
The cultural prize winner and puppeteer Beate Welsch developed a small play together with the club chairwoman: “Together-For-Each-Other”.
The story of Tobi and his underwater friends Glitterfish, Qualli, Wali & Co. is intended to help children recognize the problem of bullying, get help and, above all, not become followers.
A suitable song to sing along was also designed by Gertraud Mesner, Sylvia Seizinger and Thomas Mayr.
But over the past five years, the club has not only campaigned against bullying and for appreciative cooperation through theater performances.
There were lectures on the topic online and in person.
“Success cannot be proven by any numbers, but it gives a good feeling to be on the right side and to pass on the right values to our children,” emphasizes Mesner.
The projects are financed through membership fees and donations.
The sponsors include the Lions Club Erding, Amadeus and the community foundation.
There are regular get-togethers as the first point of contact for those interested.
The dates can be viewed on the homepage www.mobbned.de.
