The War Cabinet decided today (Friday) that an Israeli delegation would go to Doha for talks on the abductee deal, the Prime Minister's Office said.
The War Cabinet received an update on Hamas's response and a discussion on the issue is now taking place in the Political-Security Cabinet.
The Prime Minister's Office stated after the War Cabinet discussion that "Hamas' demands regarding the abductees are still unfounded."
Despite this, an Israeli delegation will go to Doha after the political and security cabinet will discuss Israel's position.
The Prime Minister's Office also stated that "Prime Minister Netanyahu approved the plans for action in Rafah. The IDF is preparing for the operational side and for the evacuation of the population."

Yesterday, Hamas delivered to Israel through intermediaries an answer regarding the outline of the abductees' deal.
An Israeli official stated that Hamas's response was relatively positive, and included for the first time the numbers of prisoners that Hamas demands to be released for each of the categories of abductees who are supposed to be released in the first phase of the deal.
The senior official added that Hamas's answer makes it possible to start a more serious negotiation. "There is something to work with," he said.
