The emergency services were deployed to several forest fires in Tyrol at Lake Plansee.
The border crossing from Linderhof to Reutte is currently still closed.
District - Since Thursday (March 14th), various fire departments have been working on extinguishing fires on Planseestrasse in the area of Heiterwanger See and Lake Plansee.
The reason is several forest fires.
According to the Tyrol State Police Department, a 36-year-old Austrian is suspected.
He confessed to having started several fires with his lighter or lit cigarettes on Thursday between around 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Since Thursday, the fire brigades have been working on extinguishing fires on Planseestrasse in the area of Heiterwanger See and Plansee
Some of the fires had penetrated into impassable terrain.
This made extinguishing work very difficult for the fire brigade.
The work had to be temporarily stopped due to the risk of falling rocks.
At 7 p.m., firefighting work on the ground and from the air had to be stopped for the time being due to the onset of darkness and the impassable terrain.

Due to forest fires: The border crossing between Linderhof and Reutte is currently closed
The extent of the burned forest and meadow area cannot yet be estimated, according to the Tyrolean police shortly after 6 a.m. today, Wednesday (March 15).
To date, no one has been injured and no building has been damaged.
The extinguishing work will continue today.
Planseestrasse had to be closed due to the extinguishing work.
The border crossing between Linderhof and Reutte is also currently closed.
Fire brigades, rescue services, mountain rescue and helicopters in action
On Thursday alone, there were 130 active members of the Breitenwang/Mühl, Heiterwang, Reutte, Lechaschau, Höfen fire departments, as well as emergency services, Reutte mountain rescue and two police helicopters.
