Just over a year after its introduction, generative AI is driving a significant acceleration of innovation on multiple fronts.

In this context, Microsoft Italia talked about the opportunities of the technology, with the support of research carried out together with analysts from International Data Corporation (IDC).

According to IDC, Italian companies are aligned with the rest of Europe in the adoption of AI, if not at a more advanced stage: 73% of companies are using artificial intelligence compared to 67% of the European average.

As for generative AI, 67% of companies in our country already use it and 24% are planning its implementation in the next two years.

77% of Italian companies are also more inclined to consider AI as a strategic lever to achieve business objectives, more than the European average of 63%.

 Of the various use cases of companies that already exploit Copilot's AI, Microsoft cites the examples of Sace and Reale Group.

The first, controlled by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and specialized in supporting businesses in Italy and around the world, has cleared the use of AI in the public sector, thanks to Copilot and Viva, to automate some procedures and respond in a faster to SMEs.

Reale Group, which brings together various brands in the insurance field, took part in the Copilot Early Access program for Microsoft 365, introducing AI to 300 employees as a tool to accelerate the resolution of problems and critical issues.
