Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck is nevertheless optimistic about meeting the climate target for 2030.

Berlin - Federal Climate Protection Minister Robert Habeck believes the German climate protection target for 2030 is achievable.

“If we stay on course, we will achieve our 2030 climate goals,” said the Green politician in a statement published in Berlin, referring to new data from the Federal Environment Agency.

By then, according to the Climate Protection Act, German greenhouse gas emissions should be reduced by 65 percent compared to 1990.
