The tour to the Schwaigeralm
The tour begins at the Birkenstein pilgrimage church and leads along a wonderfully beautiful path to the Schwaigeralm, which is open all year round.
The wide forest path is also easy to navigate with a stroller and offers a pleasant hiking time of around 40 minutes to the hut.
For public travel, take bus 352 from Miesbach train station to Birkenstein.

The sanctuary on the Schwaigeralm
The Schwaigeralm is more than just a restaurant.
The proceeds support a sanctuary where over 60 animals have found a home.
From the cheeky goats to the dwarf pot-bellied pigs to the different types of ducks, there is a lot to discover that will certainly make children's hearts beat faster.

After a break on the mountain pasture, we take the same route back to the starting point.
Although the hike could theoretically be extended as a loop, this is not possible with a stroller.
The Schwaigeralm is open from Thursday to Sunday and offers a cozy place to stop for a break for families.
