The battle for the 2026 municipal elections is officially launched in Yvelines.
This start, more than two years before the big explanation before the voters, was Pierre Bédier, the LR president of the departmental council, who gave it on Saturday March 10 in Versailles by announcing the “enlargement” of Ensemble pour les Yvelines (EPY), which was until then the common banner of departmental councilors, all from the right and the center.
A political organization specific to the Yvelines assembly now raised to the rank of party, a “unifying tool beyond partisan labels” as its president presents it.
The formation already has its executives such as Pierre Fond, the LR mayor of Sartrouville, the LR senator Sophie Primas, the mayor of Noisy-le-Roi Marc Tourelle, president of the UDI in Yvelines or even… Gérard Larcher, the LR president of the Senate, as honorary president.
