Loredana Canò, the cellmate who later became a friend and assistant of Lady Gucci, was sent to trial along with three other people, accused in Milan for the affair of the management of the multi-million euro assets bequeathed to her by her mother Silvana Barbieri.
The lawyer Maurizio Giani, lawyer of Mrs. Barbieri, who died in her nineties in 2019 and who had been appointed executor by her, was instead fully acquitted at the end of the abbreviated trial.
This was decided by the preliminary hearing judge Alberto Carboni who also acquitted Marco Riva, current president of Coni Lombardo, with the formula "because the fact does not constitute a crime".
In addition to Canò, Marco Chiesa, at the time financial advisor to the mother of Maurizio Gucci's widow, and Mario Wiel Marin and Marco Moroni were sent to trial.
The hearing for them will open on June 6th in front of the seventh criminal section of the Court.
The various charges include aggravated circumvention of incompetence, theft, embezzlement and corruption in the exercise of the function.
Two suspects have reached a plea agreement.
