The dispute over the construction of asylum accommodation in Markt Schwaben, which has been simmering for months, is probably coming to an end.

A compromise solution seems to be in sight.

Markt Schwaben

– Those responsible in the Markt Schwaben town hall and the Ebersberg district office are hopeful that the dispute that has been simmering for months over the construction of an asylum accommodation at Ziegelstadel can soon be brought to a happy end.

Without being specific, Mayor Michael Stolze indicated to the local council that a final compromise was currently being worked out, in which the municipality, district and government of Upper Bavaria, as well as the Atron company as the landowner, were involved.

District administrator: Compromise largely corresponds to the proposal from the CSU, the Free People and the FDP

For this reason, some agenda items were removed from the local council meeting on Thursday, March 14th.

When asked on Friday, March 15th, District Administrator Niedergesäß indicated that the solution found was largely in line with a proposal from the CSU, the Free People and the FDP that was recently presented in the market town.

This means: 60 instead of 120 places and an additional location on Schwabener Flur for additional accommodation.

What was expected was possibly the most important meeting of the market town council ever since the issue of asylum accommodation at Ziegelstadel in Markt Schwaben was introduced.

That's why on Thursday, March 14th, just over 80 interested people came to see whether the plenary session would actually be able to find a compromise that was acceptable to everyone.

But then everything turned out completely differently.

Even before Mayor Michael Stolze officially entered the agenda, he had already canceled three relevant agenda items: These were possible resolutions on the Ziegelstadel area as part of a new land-use planning (development plan change and change block) as well as the compromise proposal from the CSU/FW/FDP elected officials .

Mayor Stolzer: Everyone can live with the compromise

In any case, it was as quiet as a mouse in the almost overcrowded meeting room when Stolze referred to recent, non-public discussions that he had held together with his deputy Valentina Dahms, District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß, District President Konrad Schober and the Atron management on Wednesday, March 13th Ebersberg District Office.

Not even every local councilor knew about it.

In any case, according to Stolze, a compromise was reached there, in Ebersberg, which he was ultimately unable to discuss any further.

Stolze literally: “I am sure that everyone will wear it and can live with it.”

In the plenary session and in front of the meeting guests, who were listening almost spellbound, he asked that they give him a leap of faith and accept that he would have to remain nebulous at the moment.

As soon as things have been decided by the authorities involved, they will of course go public, the 53-year-old added.

But there are assured statements, says Stolze, that make him confident that the issue could soon come to a happy end.
