Carolin Kranz from the Alliance for Unterschleißheim (BFU) was sworn in as a city councilor and took the place of Manfred Riederle (FDP) at the most recent meeting.
Unterschleißheim
– She represents the “Alliance for Unterschleißheim” (BfU), which now has a seat in the city council for the first time.
The 42-year-old replaced Riederle, who resigned from his position after 15 years for health and private reasons and now lives in Pullach.
The FDP and BFU ran with a joint list for the 2020 local elections.
Kranz was the first successor, with her the BFU has a seat and is now represented on the city council for the first time.
Core topic: livable urban development
“My passion is to work together with other citizens to stop crazy construction projects,” says Kranz.
Its core theme is moderate growth.
The BfU is an association of non-party citizens who defend themselves against excessive densification and advocate for “liveable urban development that meets people’s needs”.
The group was founded when plans to develop the Siemens parking lot and redesign the town hall square became known at the end of 2018.
The BfU is sticking to a building height of 50 meters and is basing this on the “City with Measurement” referendum from 2012.
Participation in several committees
Kranz was born in Unterschleißheim, married and mother of a daughter.
She volunteered for the volunteer fire department for ten years.
As a social educator, she works in the social service at the Augustinum Werkstätte in Oberschleissheim and works as an assistant for people with physical or mental disabilities.
In the future, Kranz will represent the BfU in the property and building committee, the culture committee, the social committee, the advisory board for inclusion and as a consultant for social affairs.
