The municipality of Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn has developed a concept for all-day after-school care, the so-called educational campus.
It is intended to help fulfill the nationwide legal right to care for primary school students.
Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn – The municipality of Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn has announced more details about the pilot phase for the educational campus.
On eight Mondays between June 3rd and July 22nd, there will be various leisure activities, some of which are subject to a fee, for students in the 3rd and 4th grades who want to take part in the test run.
The children can use this after the visit or during the booked visit time at their respective school child care facility.
Students who attend the local all-day school, after-school care or lunchtime care can take part in the pilot phase.
The town hall administration reports that the children travel the route from the facility to the offer and, if necessary, independently.
For this purpose, a running plan is drawn up by the community in collaboration with school helpers.
According to the responsible town hall employee Sarah Arnold, a final overview of the various offers will be available after the Easter holidays.
Bookings are possible from April 15th to 26th via the holiday booking portal
A binding booking is possible from April 15th to 26th via the municipality's holiday booking portal at www.ferienprogramm-hksbr.de.
“A guitar course, a choir group, a reading club as well as sporting activities such as yoga or dancing and theater are already being planned,” says Arnold.
The offers will take place between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.
In parallel to the bookable offers, there will be a children's meeting in the Alte Apotheke family center supervised by the district youth group, which can be visited without registering.

It is intended to help the community meet the nationwide legal right to care for elementary school students when this comes into force in the 2026/27 school year.
The “Education Campus” project group has now been formed, which also includes the communities of Unterhaching, Ottobrunn, Taufkirchen and Pullach.
A first test run for the educational campus, financially supported by the district, is scheduled to take place in Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn after the Whitsun holidays.

The knowledge gained should be made available to all municipalities in the district.
