Indersdorf/Gersthofen – Light show and party music created an extraordinary atmosphere for the almost 500 participants from 30 clubs at the 15th Cool Swimming Cup in the Gersthofen indoor swimming pool.

Among them were a dozen sharks from Indersdorf, which returned with rich prey: seven gold, five silver and 13 bronze medals were the result after two intensive days of competition.

Magdalena Kiefl (2011) was in top form, winning five gold medals in the 100 meter individual medley, 200 meter backstroke, 50 meter, 100 meter and 200 meter freestyle.

She also secured another bronze medal in the 200 meter breaststroke and qualified for the Bavarian Championships thanks to her fast times in the 50 meter freestyle in 30.9 seconds and the 100 meter freestyle.

Ludwig Kost also achieved this in the 50 meter freestyle.

In a time of 26.34 seconds, he won in the class of 2008 and qualified for the elimination competitions of the event's best swimmers.

He was eliminated in the second round.

He completed his performance with two more silver and bronze medals.

In the strong 2012 class, Luisa Zangerle impressed with her parade discipline.

She came first in the 50 meter backstroke and third in the 100 meter butterfly race.

Further podium places were won by Marie Fiebig (2009) with two silver and two bronze, Felix Kannegießer (2010) with one silver and two bronze, Marie Grundler (2012) with three bronze and Luis Hahn (2012) with one bronze.

Maximilian Fiebig (2011) and Ludwig Ramian (2012), who swam into the top five several times, also showed great improvement.

Emiliana Meretta Montoya (2011), Sophie-Luise Zahn (2013) and Valeria Meretta Montoya (2014) took places in the top ten with new best times.

The swimmers benefited from the special atmosphere, particularly in the mixed relays over 8 x 50 meter breaststroke and 8 x 50 meter freestyle, where they were able to improve their best times again with the team cheering them on.

Coach Sophie Kost was once again very satisfied with the convincing performances of her protégés.
