Its closure last year was the subject of strong protests.
The former Brassaï high school, located rue Quinault, in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, was the only professional public establishment dedicated to learning the arts of photography and image in the capital.
It is one of these vocational high schools which closed its doors in 2023. For one month, from March 11 to April 10, the building seems to have found temporary occupation.
Indeed, by prefectural decree of February 26, the Île-de-France region was requested “to make available to a religious association the unoccupied premises of the Brassaï professional high school in Paris 15th century, for the exercise of worship Muslim during the Ramadan period,” indicates the Paris police headquarters (PP).
