The Villa Frankenburg in Tegernsee was broken into: the perpetrator got in through a terrace window at around 2 a.m. on Thursday.

He probably fled without any loot, the police explain.

Tegernsee – Thursday night around 2 a.m., the caretaker couple at Villa Frankenburg in Tegernsee became aware of noises and footsteps in the house.

According to police, the couple lives in an attic apartment in the villa.

“Both then probably drove the perpetrator away, as the perpetrator fled without taking any prey,” explains the Bad Wiessee police.

“When inspecting the villa, it was discovered that the perpetrator had forced open a patio window and used this way to get in and out of the house,” the report says.

The perpetrator broke open several locked doors in the house and searched the cupboards.

Based on the evidence, the police assume there is a perpetrator.

The damage to the terrace window of the historic building cannot yet be quantified because it must first be inspected by a specialist.

Overall, the material damage caused is likely to be several thousand euros, as several doors in the house were also damaged.

There have been several break-ins in the Miesbach district in the recent past.

The perpetrators struck more frequently, especially in Hausham, but there were also cases in Rottach-Egern and Neuhaus.

In Gmund, one or more burglars ransacked the house of a senior citizen.

Police are looking for witnesses

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area or at the house between midnight and shortly after 2 a.m. is asked to contact the Bad Wiessee police on 08022/98780.
