“We were told: the purse strings are no longer at the Ministry of National Education, we must go to Bercy and Matignon,” summarizes Grégory Thuizat, departmental co-secretary of SNES-FSU93 this Friday evening, leaving the interview with advisors to the Minister of National Education.
This meeting with the inter-union education 93 (CGT Educ'action, CNT Éducation 93, FSU 93, Sud Éducation 93) was finally organized after three weeks of a "historic mobilization" to demand an emergency plan for the Seine-Saint-Denis.
But the results do not live up to expectations: “We are referred to hypothetical arbitrations, we have no date, we have had no concrete response,” denounces the union representative.
The inter-union had done the accounts before coming: “As part of the emergency plan, we are asking for 358 million euros, this is the emergency dosage to bring the 93 up to standard. When we look at what is going for the uniform and the SNU (universal national service), it amounts to more than 4 billion euros!

Call for demonstration in front of Matignon
And the inter-union to call on teachers, parents, students to “strengthen the mobilization to wrest the emergency plan from the government”, by first participating in the day of defense of public services, Tuesday.
“And we will meet them in front of Matignon on Thursday 21,” adds Grégory Thuizat.
Contacted this Friday evening, the Ministry of National Education describes “frank, concrete exchanges” during which “the representatives were able to directly raise their requests, relating to human resources, school buildings, working conditions”.
A time for discussion with national representatives will be organized, the ministry is assured, next week.
