The decree has been signed which defines the criteria and methods for the use of a contribution, in the form of a tax credit, recognized to companies in order to promote the purchase and use of materials and products alternative to those made of disposable plastic.
This was announced by Deputy Minister for the Environment and Energy Safety Vannia Gava.
The provision allocates 3 million euros per year, for three years, and recognizes 20 percent of the expenses incurred for the purchase of reusable products or products made of biodegradable and compostable material.
Priority criteria are assigned to products intended to come into contact with food.
"Measures that offer concrete support to our businesses on the path towards sustainability. More circular economy, more environmental protection, more economic stability of the production system" declares Gava.
