The Jetzendorf theater artists play “The Golden Goose”.

Pre-sales start today.

Jetzendorf – This year the Jetzendorf theaters are presenting the very old and cheerful play “The Golden Goose” in the Ottilinger Hall.

Director Ruppert Leimberger recruited 16 amateur actors for this three-act play written by Gabriele Seitz and Georg Laforet.

“This time we were able to include a number of our young guard,” says Leimberger happily about the piece that takes place in the “Zur Goldenen Gans” restaurant in 1928.

It's actually nice when her aunt Appolonia (Marion Ostermeier) announces her visit.

She finally gave her two nieces a generous gift for their double wedding.

But her brother, the master brewer Quirin Pfanzelter (Sepp Öttl), has long since embezzled this to build the new brewhouse.

That's why he has very mixed feelings about his sister's visit.

A daring game of deception and subterfuge begins, and Appolonia, who has long since seen through her brother, does her best to further heat up the comedy.

Xaver Spitzeder, a sneaky cattle dealer and cuddler played by Markus Spennesberger, also contributes to this.

The master brewer's daughters Vroni (Monika Westermeier) and Fanny (Veronika Meyer) as well as the first brewer Martl Vöst (Lukas Hof) and his deputy Gidi Ziegler (Andreas Heinzlmeier) also play important roles in this crazy game.

Laurenz Schmid plays John Bush, Appolonia's nephew, and Liesl Damleitner, the waitress and illegitimate daughter of the house (Sonja Zeindl), is also in her element.

The theater ensemble also includes: Krescence Damleitner, Liesl's mother and cook (Marion Menzinger);

Alois Buchwieser, spiritual councilor (Matthias Kisslinger);

Wilhelm Hübsch, insurance agent (Hans Steiner);

Wilhelmine Hübsch-Hansen, his wife (Maria Riedmair).

Naaz, the Hausl in the Golden Goose, plays Luis Wenger, who has a double role and also appears as Sepp Guggenbichler in the role of a marriage candidate.

Another marriage candidate, Franze Staudacher, is played by Lorenz Pletzer.

Finally, the gravedigger Dodl (Bernd Rupp) also has a lot to notice.

The rehearsals already promise that the Jetzendorf theater artists will hit the jackpot with this piece.

Brigitte and Hanna Schmid act as prompters.

Martina Leimberger is responsible for the mask and Marion Menzinger is the musical director.

The game will be played on Friday and Saturday, April 5th and 6th, as well as on Friday and Saturday, April 12th and 13th and also on Friday and Saturday, April 19th and 20th, at 7 p.m.

Advance ticket sales will take place this Saturday, March 16th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Gasthaus Ottilinger.

From Monday, March 18th, advance ticket sales will continue at Volksbank-Raiffeisenbank Jetzendorf during normal business hours.

Remaining tickets are available at the box office.

Entry is 10 euros.
