Nothing prepares a father to see his daughter at the center of a gang rape trial.
Eight men have been on trial since Monday March 11 for their participation in these events which took place in October 2020 in Sarcelles.
Only one of them was not yet an adult (he was 17 years and 10 months).
This is why this case was referred to the juvenile court, where the hearing took place behind closed doors.
The oldest was 29 years old.
The two victims — both 13 years old at the time of the events — were still children.
“I stopped living.
My daughter is destroyed and I can’t make her happy,” confides Arnaud, 41, Alice’s father*.
He told the court on Monday about the course of this day which plunged him into a nightmare from which he still cannot escape.
“It’s the elopement of two best friends on the night of October 29 to 30, 2020,” he summarizes.
The second confinement has just come into force, the school holidays are beginning.
Alice invited her friend Maylis* to sleep at her father's house (the parents are separated).
At 2:09 a.m., the two girls left the accommodation located in the suburbs of Troyes (Aube).
“No one saw anything.
I was sleeping, I didn’t hear anything,” he remembers.
