The Lenggries gymnastics club (TV) is growing and growing.

The number of members has now grown to 1,529.

One word in particular ran through many reports at the most recent annual meeting in the Alpine Festival Hall: “recording stop”.

Lenggries - “We have a lot of young people in the club, but we are also well positioned with the older ones,” said chairman Sigi Brandhofer, who, like most of his board colleagues, was re-elected.

Waiting list for parent-child gymnastics in Lenggries

The rush for parent-child gymnastics is extreme.

The previous deputy division manager Verena Schwald reported that 100 people come to the hall every week.

That's why there is now a waiting list: “There have become too many.

At some point it just doesn’t work anymore.”

The maximum group size (30) has also been reached in children's gymnastics.

That's why the following applies here too: stop recording.

Just like in gymnastics with 30 children.

And what about Taekwondo?

“We have a lot of demand for children’s training,” reported division manager Dirk Hartmann.

“That’s why we even briefly stopped taking in the little ones this year.”

Volleyball department head Christian Keiler recommended to his colleagues with a smile: “Send your best children to us.

We'll get them processed." Although the volleyball players, with 270 members, can't complain about the lack of attendance either.

Especially in the ball game group for four to six year olds they have reached the limit of their capacity.

“But you have to start with a lot of them so that there is something left over at the end,” said Keiler, listing the division’s successes.

The women were promoted to the district league undisputed.

A mixed team plays in the A class, the highest league in Upper Bavaria.

For over ten years, TV and its 13 junior teams have been a certified base base for the Bavarian Volleyball Association.

Lenggries beach volleyball is booming

Beach volleyball in particular is experiencing a boom.

Up to 70 athletes train at the same time on the eight courts.

Lenggries is a beach volleyball stronghold, said Keiler.

In the Bavarian rankings for the U17 age group, there are four Lenggriesers in the first five places.

In the U13 age group, five Lenggriesers are in the top ten.

At the German Championships in Lenggries there was a first, a third and a fifth place in the U17 age group.

“An incredible result,” said Keiler.

He announced that the German title fights would take place again in Lenggries this August.

In view of this, he would like to see the sports grounds expanded.

Athletics department head Traudi Kiefersauer also gently pushed for this and referred to the 60 children and adults in training, 40 of whom are active in competitions.

Lenggries Mayor Stefan Klaffenbacher: “Wave to the sports field”

“Every time I get a hint from the fence post or rather the sports field,” said Mayor Stefan Klaffenbacher.

Discussions with the board have been going on for two years.

It is clear that the tartan track, which is over 50 years old and in need of renovation, needs to be addressed first and foremost.

An expansion of the throwing and jumping facilities as well as a kind of fitness path are also planned: “It all depends on what funding we can get.” The budget is currently being drawn up, although less money is available due to increasing expenses: “That’s why I’m not making any firm commitments,” emphasized the mayor.

Calm rowers and judokas on TV Lenggries

The rowers who train on the Sylvenstein and the judoka who practice in the hall can follow these discussions calmly.

Last year there were boat christenings for the first time, reported division manager Sepp Brandhofer.

“It was a blast.” An additional boat, a two-seater, will be delivered in the next few days.

According to Corinna Schlosser, who gave the annual report on behalf of Hans Greil at the annual general meeting of TV Lenggries, the judo men withdrew from the 2nd Bundesliga after four years “with a heavy heart”: “We had many great moments and successes and have many met new friends,” emphasized Schlosser.

The second men's team, which finished sixth in the state league, and the women's team, which came third in the Bavarian league, are still active.
