Authorities questioned a person considered of interest in the case of the death of student Kaitlin Elizabeth Hernandez, who was found dead and naked on Wednesday under a bridge in San Antonio, Texas.
According to the Bexar Medical Examiner's Office, the 17-year-old girl died as a result of strangulation.
Police said her body showed signs of violence and the death is being considered a homicide.

afternoon, when she went for a walk with a neighbor who was her friend.

Initially, the friend was questioned by authorities, but then San Antonio police reported the discovery of a person of interest in the case, who – they said – is cooperating with the investigation.
Authorities were called in the early hours of last Wednesday to the 7600 block of Dell Oak, after the teenager was reported missing.

When they arrived at the scene, police officers
found his phone and a coat
before finding his body under the bridge.
The Crime Stoppers community program announced last Thursday that it is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information in the case.
