VIDEO - The television host, working for many years on TF1, co-hosted the dance competition for eight seasons.

The former TF1 presenter was the guest of Éric Dussart and Jade this Saturday March 16 on RTL in the show “On refait la télé”.

The opportunity for

Sandrine Quétier

to discuss her decision to definitively stop television hosting, her worst interviews but also the program “Dancing with the Stars” which she co-hosted for eight years.

Indeed, Sandrine Quétier was part of the adventure from the beginning of the adaptation in France of the program produced by the BBC.

First in pairs with Vincent Cerutti, the host took care of welcoming the candidates, once their dance was performed, in the results room.

Then when the host left, she took his place by presenting the show in duo with Laurent Ournac who was in the “red room”.

She thus followed the victories of M. Pokora, Shy'm, Emmanuel Moire, Alizée, Rayane Bensetti, Loïc Nottet, Laurent Maistret and Augustin Galania extending from 2011 to 2017.

It was therefore obvious that Eric Dussart asked her about Camille Combal, the presenter having taken the reins of animation from her in 2018.

“He's great, he brings his little touch of madness, the very offbeat side.

“It’s a real counter-proposal to what we could do

,” she underlined while her interlocutor insisted on the fact that in her time, the presentation was much more “classic”.

“It was the big dresses, of course, but it was the brief for the show.

»

It was a question of respecting, especially in the first seasons, the rules of presentation to the letter, which left less room for the humor and improvisation so dear to Camille Combal.

" They suffer "

“The first seasons, it was a program which was co-produced with the BBC and which had very very precise codes.

So we respected the codes of the show, ballroom dancing, red curtains, big dresses.

It had a very old-fashioned side which was funny

,” Sandrine Quétier remembered with a smile.

The place was therefore not at the rehearsal floodgates.

“That wasn’t the point.

Let's just say we didn't even try it.

We were laughing, we weren't with a broom either... that's it but it was a little more starchy.

»

And if Sandrine Quétier has kept good memories of this period of her life, she would in no case want to “close the loop” by becoming a candidate for the show.

I know too well what our candidates go through.

I went to see them in rehearsals, they are suffering, they have their lives on hold.

Oh no no no.
