While the Government digests the
Senate's rejection of DNU 70/23
in the Senate, the Minister of the Interior Guillermo Francos accelerates the discussion of the Base Law with the opposition blocs closest to the ruling party in the Lower House.
The first to visit the Hall of Shields, on the ground floor of the Casa Rosada, were the representatives of the PRO, which once again closed ranks with the Government.
One day after the Government sent the new articles of the renewed Base Law, Francos and his second, the Secretary of the Interior

, arrived, aligning himself with the governors of his party and differing from the party's head Martín Lousteau, who in the Senate voted against the Mega-DNU.
The two groups of legislators advised Javier Milei's delegates to make changes to advance with the reformulation of the Bases Law and so that the Mega DNU survives.

The Secretary of the Treasury, Carlos Guberman, in charge of coordinating an economic commission regarding the May Pact and to discuss the fine print of the fiscal pact with provincial ministers, has not yet called a meeting.
However, in La Rosada there is agreement for the participation of the Minister of Economy in the negotiation, an element that was absent in the original strategy of the failed omnibus law.

The rejection of the DNU was barely touched upon during Francos' meeting with the legislative swords of Mauricio Macri and Patricia Bullrich.

they continue to believe that the project should not have been discussed

The PRO bloc presented a project with a
compensation of 20 points
to cushion inflation in the first three months of the year that accompanies the new retirement mobility formula updated by inflation, double what the Executive proposes.
The pension calculation reform is included in the draft Base Law, but the Government runs the risk that opposition sectors will impose a more beneficial formula for retirees that damages fiscal goals.
Among the Government's allies they also assure that it will be necessary to modify the new Earnings floor, which the Government set at 1,100,000 pesos for singles and 1,500,000 pesos for married taxpayers.
They promote exceptions for social work, such as nursing, which - they bet - would be enough to add more radical votes.
In the PRO
they do not believe that they can fish for too many votes among the Patagonian legislators
or the majority sector of the bloc led by Pichetto.
The
differences between the radicals were exposed
with the visit of the block head, who was finally only accompanied by Karina Banfi and Pamela Verasay from Mendoza, who answers to Alfredo Cornejo;
and the Cordobans Soledad Carrizo and Luis Picat.
The legislator
Danya Tavela, a reference for Emiliano Yacobitti, aligned with Lousteau, was finally not in the game.
Upon leaving La Rosada, De Loredo was hopeful that there would be results.
"Things have to happen, they don't just have to happen on the networks, they have to happen in reality. The entire fiscal package is going to need an agreement with the provinces, which I believe the government has undertaken," celebrated the deputy.
