Bad accident in Dietramszell: A car driver leaves the road with his Skoda car;

the car hits a tree, overturns and burns out.

Two people can save themselves - one can only do so with outside help.

Dietramszell - A 52-year-old from Holzkirchen caused a serious traffic accident in the Dietramszell municipal area on Thursday afternoon (March 14th).

“Three people were injured, some of them life-threatening,” according to the police report.

Police, rescue workers and fire departments from the surrounding communities responded to the scene of the accident.

Serious accident: man from Holzkirchen loses control of his car

The man was driving his Skoda Oktavia on the local road between the districts of Wörschhausen and Kolbing, in a westerly direction.

A 54-year-old woman and her 20-year-old daughter, both from Otterfing, were in the vehicle.

At around 4:30 p.m., the vehicle left the road in a right-hand bend, hit a tree and overturned.

Cyclist saves woman from burning vehicle at the last moment

While the 20-year-old and the driver were able to free themselves from the wreckage with moderate or minor injuries, the 54-year-old was no longer able to save herself due to her serious injuries.

She had to be pulled out of the vehicle by other road users, including a 33-year-old cyclist from Munich, who was already about to catch fire at that point.

The passers-by managed to rescue the woman just in time before the car burned out completely.

The seriously injured person was flown to a clinic in the rescue helicopter, the other two occupants were transported to surrounding hospitals by the emergency services.

Complete closure of the Dietramszell local road: the cause of the accident is still being clarified

“The cause of the accident is still being clarified,” said a police officer when asked.

The extent to which the person who caused the accident was traveling at an unsuitable speed in this section of the route is now also the subject of the investigation.

The local road had to be completely closed during the rescue work and accident investigation period.

Several municipal fire departments in action after a serious accident in Dietramszell

The volunteer fire departments from Thanning, Endlhausen and Egling took part in the operation with a total of five emergency vehicles.

Furthermore, the BRK rescue service with three ambulances, an emergency doctor and the rescue service operations manager.

In addition, the rescue helicopter “Christoph 1” from Munich was ordered to the scene of the accident.

A total of six emergency services from the Geretsried and Wolfratshausen police stations were on site.
