The two “Tatort” actors Jan Josef Liefers and Alex Prahl were asked on TV about rumors about an end to the Münster duo.
This is what the actors say about it.
Cologne – After the end of the “Tatort” duo in Munich became known this year, the investigators from Münster spoke about recurring rumors in a TV show.
After 22 years, fans are speculating that it will end soon.
This is not the first time that there have been rumors about the end of the “crime scene” in Münster
The duo has been on screen since 2002 as chief detective Frank Thiel (Axel Prahl, 63) and forensic doctor Prof. Dr.
Dr.
Karl-Friedrich Boerne (Jan Josef Liefers, 59) can be seen.
Sometimes funny, sometimes quirky, sometimes serious – the two strong characters are very well received by the audience.
This makes reports of an impending end all the more shocking for die-hard fans.
There have been numerous rumors about this.

that there were differences between the actors and the broadcaster about the further development of the characters, which is why they were even offered the film at the time, which was also released in 2016.

How long he will be seen with colleague Liefers in the duo Thiel and Boerne “depends on how long people want to see us”.

We thought it would be over after the tenth episode or so." About an ending, he says: "They always say you have to stop when it's at its best." That's neither a clear yes nor a clear no.
Afterwards, he interrupts moderator Susan Link again to soften things up: “As long as it’s still beautiful, it can always get a little more beautiful.”

There is no date for the end of filming.
As long as the authors still think of enough, the two will continue.
Filming for the next “crime scene” is currently underway.
That usually means ten-hour days for both actors.
Axel Prahl has almost reached the official retirement age at 63, Liefers will be 60 this year. But the two of them don't want to know anything about signs of fatigue, even after 22 years together on TV.
“It’s still fun and everything that’s fun isn’t tiring,” says Prahl at the “Kölner Treff”.

On Sunday (March 17th) Prahl and Liefers will definitely be seen in the new “Tatort” from Münster in the episode “Unter Gärtnern”.
In it, the two investigators have to deal with intrigues and affairs in an allotment garden.
The episode will be broadcast at 8:15 p.m. on Erste, ORF and SRF.
Recently there was speculation as to whether Jörg Hartmann (54) would leave the Dortmund “crime scene” as Commissioner Faber.
