Highlights: Erding city cycling: Young people are ahead. 300 cyclists took part in the campaign in the summer and covered 53,673 kilometers. 14-year-old Kilian Lanzinger pedaled the most. The youth were also ahead in the group rankings. The most kilometers of the 23 teams, namely 11,743, were covered by the 47 cyclists from the Korbinian Aigner Gymnasium (KAG) Erding. The next places were followed by the Erding state vocational school, Amadeus, the Heilig Blut girls' secondary school.

The participants covered 53,673 kilometers while cycling in the city.

At the award ceremony it became clear: the students pedaled the hardest.

Erding – covering as many everyday routes as possible by bike in a climate-friendly way for 21 days – that was the declared goal of city cycling.

The competition was an event organized by the Climate Alliance city network, of which the city of Erding is also a member.

14-year-old Kilian Lanzinger pedaled the most.

The youth were also ahead in the group rankings.

At the award ceremony in the Erding Museum, Mayor Max Gotz emphasized how useful cycling is: “It protects the environment, it protects the climate and is also good for personal fitness.” Campaigns such as city cycling are therefore ideally suited to the environmental issue in the to move forward.

“We have the ambitious goal of making cycling in Erding safer and contributing to climate protection,” emphasized the mayor.

Gotz announced that when Friedrich-Fischerplatz was redesigned, parking spaces would be created for cyclists.

300 cyclists took part in the campaign in the summer and covered 53,673 kilometers.

The most kilometers of the 23 teams, namely 11,743, were covered by the 47 cyclists from the Korbinian Aigner Gymnasium (KAG) Erding.

The next places were followed by the Erding state vocational school, Amadeus, the Heilig Blut girls' secondary school, the Erding town hall, the Erding open team and the ADFC Erding.
