“La Place is a unique place and project in the world,” proudly assures Julien Cholewa, director of this cultural center dedicated to hip-hop in Paris.
Since Thursday March 14 and until this Saturday evening, the cultural establishment is hosting one of the biggest events of the year: the L2P convention.
And confirms its status as a temple of street culture in the capital.
Nestled under the canopy of the Forum des Halles (1st arrondissement), its 1,400 m2 premises see dozens of artists and industry professionals pass through daily, including big names like the famous rapper Rim'K.
Also known for having served as a filming location for the series “New School” broadcast on Netflix, La Place's mission is to promote all the aesthetics and practices of this artistic movement, from dance to music including street art.
