In moments of strong tensions between the Government and the opposition that had its last expression in the rejection in the Senate of the Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU), Pope Francis considered that the “difficulties that millions of brothers and sisters of our country are going through They force
the points that divide to be put aside
so that there is a focus on the coincidences that unite.”
It was in a video that he sent for the presentation in Buenos Aires “
I ask you in the name of God
” in which the Argentine journalist Hernán Reyes condenses ten recommendations of the pontiff to the people and rulers of the world in the face of lacerating realities such as poverty, war , the deterioration of the environment, sexual abuse and
fake news
and hate speech.
The presentation - held in the Golden Hall of the House of Culture - was introduced by the Muslim leader Omar Abboud and then the bishop of Quilmes and president of Cáritas, Carlos Tissera, presented;
deputy Facundo Manes;
the Secretary of Comprehensive Welfare of the City, Victoria Morales Gorleri, and the leader of Youth for Climate, Nicole Becker.

“It should be commonplace to sit down and reflect and share points of view among people with areas and work paths as diverse as they are doing today,” the Pope began by saying.
In that sense, he stated that “what they do is a true polyhedron, in which you can have points in common without that meaning that you have to give up your own identities.”
He stressed that "the current framework of difficulties for millions of brothers and sisters of our country forces us to put aside the points that divide so that there is a focus on the coincidences that unite, and that is a path to follow."
“I hope that this book helps you not only to think, but to dialogue, to discuss, but as brothers, seeking in this context of dialogue the path of unity against the polarizations that we experience today,” he said.
I consider that "thus, initiatives such as those in this presentation serve as an excuse to form and promote a space for constructive dialogue in society" so "thank you for your contribution."
The book - translated into eight languages - is the second “four hands” between the Pope and Reyes Alcaide, who had already written “Latin America” in 2017, published on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Aparecida Conference of the Latin American Episcopate.
