The negotiations between the Democratic Party and the Five Star Movement, made even more complicated by the situation in Piedmont, will continue throughout the night, also because the countdown for the presentation of the lists (next Friday, 22 March, with the gong set for 12pm on Saturday 23 March) is becoming increasingly pressing.
Dem and Grillini are trying "at all costs", say Lucanian sources from the two parties, not to break the alliance, but no hypothesis can be ruled out, starting with the one that the Movement goes alone.
Among the new names, meanwhile, stands out the self-nomination of the former president of the Regional Council (from 2013 to 2018) Piero Lacorazza, while a large part of the Lucanian Democratic Party (which had contested the choice of Lacerenza) rejoices at Chiorazzo's return to action , also supported by a noble father of the Lucanian centre-left, such as the former president of the Region and former parliamentarian, Tonio Boccia.
An unviable solution for Conte, according to whom the healthcare entrepreneur, a "respectable person", would risk conflicts of interest as governor.
And in Basilicata the field that should have been wide is no longer as wide as that of Abruzzo, because Italia Viva has made official its support for the outgoing governor, Vito Bardi (Forza Italia), re-nominated by the centre-right coalition, who in the next few hours should also welcome Action, for now with caret covered.
On the afternoon of a Saturday of ordinary (political) madness, "after careful reflection" also made with his family and many of his patients, the new twist arrived, with the withdrawal, not without controversy, of Lacerenza, who , three days ago, had been designated by Pd, M5S, Avs and + Europa, with the support of Chiorazzo.
"It is a decision - wrote the doctor, who, at 66, would have faced his first political experience - taken with absolute serenity and also in the interests of the political forces who wanted to propose me. I had given my availability, but I cannot do not record the reactions that occurred afterwards."
Conte was even more explicit a few hours later.

The reference can only be to the Pittella family, with the former governor Marcello, brother of Gianni (former vice-president of the European Parliament) with Action from Politics 2022. Today the leader, Carlo Calenda, from Matera attacked the former prime minister himself: "The Democratic Party should find some pride, send Conte to hell, who wants to destroy the center-left and build a serious government alternative that cannot be conditioned by scoundrels", said Calenda, who tomorrow morning, in Potenza, he will communicate his decision for the Lucanian Regionals.
It remains possible that Action will go with Bardi and the centre-right.
A change of field already made official by Italia Viva, whose national coordinator Raffaella Paita, closed the agreement with Bardi "for the good of the Region".
