Highlights: Michelin Guide 2024: 62 new stars in France announced Monday. Two days before its ceremony, scheduled for Monday afternoon, the Red Guide reveals the number of macaroons which will be distributed to restaurants. Sixty-two establishments will thus be promoted in total (compared to 44 in 2023), including 52 restaurants winning a first star. Among these 52 addresses, 23 opened during the year and according to inspectors, have already passed the test of “regularity and robustness”


Two days before its ceremony, scheduled for Monday afternoon, the Red Guide heats up the sauce by revealing the number of macaroons which will be distributed to restaurants from the Palais des Congrès in Tours.


The Michelin Guide continues to heat up the sauce for its France 2024 star ceremony, scheduled for Monday from 5 p.m., from the Palais des Congrès des Tours and visible live on its YouTube channel.

After communicating, for the first time, the complete list of the 31 restaurants demoted and deleted from the Guide, two weeks in advance so as not to spoil the party, Bibendum announces to AFP the number of stars that will be distributed Monday by journalist Anaïs Bouton, in charge of animation like last year.

Sixty-two establishments will thus be promoted in total (compared to 44 in 2023), including 52 restaurants winning a first star (compared to 39 in 2023).

40 municipalities rewarded in France

AFP also notes that among the winners we will find chefs already known, either through their media coverage or through their time in renowned kitchens;

but also numerous addresses in the region, with 40 awarded municipalities and villages.

“It is a superb selection which demonstrates in quality and quantity the culinary dynamism of France on the world stage, and not just for its achievements”

declared the boss of the Red Guide, Gwendal Poullennec to AFP.

“It's no longer just a question of heritage, French gastronomy is not in the past

,” insisted the man who noticed this year the emergence of

“a whole generation that we felt was budding.”
